Your mission is to predict the performance of our machines by modeling the underlying physics. Developed and validated models are then used to guide machine development and optimize machine performance by varying appropriate process parameters.
For this position, we are looking for a candidate who is knowledgeable in adsorption kinetics modeling. The purpose of the adsorption kinetics modeling is to predict how fast our sorbents can adsorb and desorb CO2. Such a model guides the sorbent development, provides crucial input in machine development and helps optimize the machine performance.
Develop the model for the adsorption kinetics that can predict the mass transport and chemical reaction within the adsorbent.
- Collaborate with the rest of the Modeling team to integrate your model into a general model which predicts the overall machine performance.
- Validate the developed models by finding relevant literature and comparing this against your models.
- Come up with experimental ideas to validate your model if literature data is not sufficient.
- Find partners that can conduct other experiments with, or design the experiment yourself together with colleagues from the mechanical design.
- Support the development of side tracks by helping the design of devices and collaborating with colleagues from the development team.

We would love to meet you if you:
Have a Master or PHD in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering, applied physics, or chemistry.
Have good understanding of physics, preferably in adsorption/desorption topics
Have strong analytical skills and affinity with coding; knowledge of Python is preferred.
Are able to take responsibility and make decisions, sometimes with limited knowledge.
Have good English language skills, both spoken and written.
Have affinity with experiments and knowledge of ANSYS Fluent is a plus.
Are energized by our purpose and is ready to take a leap into our startup.
And are living within commuting distance from Eindhoven or willing to move there, because that’s where our magic happens!
